Duke of Edinburgh Awards

We manage the Duke of Edinburgh's Award programme for West Lothian Council and work in partnerships with Secondary schools and local voluntary organisations to provide opportunities for young people to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme.

The DofE is a flexible programme that helps to develop young people for life and work, the numbers speak for themselves: 93% of participants feel that DofE has helped them to work in a team and 84% feel that they have become a more responsible person.

In West Lothian DofE is supported by a dedicated team of school and community volunteers. This approach enables young people to participate in the DofE Award programme through their school or locally run open award groups.
